Pasadena - Sgt. Ed Valin, a retired officer from the Pleasanton Police Department, came home with two gold and one silver medals from the California Police Summer Games last weekend.

The Police Games took place in and around Pasadena and featured 56 sporting events with close to 7,000 current or retired officers taking part.

Valin competed in the skeet shooting events.  The individual competition was an event involving 100 targets.  Valin and one other entrant hit 99 of 100 and Valin won the title in a playoff.

The long time resident then combined with three shooters from the Los Angeles area and one from Stockton to take the gold in the team singles shoot and the silver medal in the teams double skeet.
